the NESST STORY.

My name is Natalie Ness and I am the founder of NESST design. Space curation is so much more than a profession to me. It is a deep passion that has allowed me to make a drastic difference in my overall health, happiness and healing.

I attended Capital Area School for the Arts my senior year of High School, and continued on as a Fine Arts Major at Messiah University. My many years of studying and producing art has not only well-equipped me for this career, but it has also allowed me to fully discover all of the separate realms of creativity that I feel called to and thrive within. Designing and decorating is especially fulfilling because it is where I get to witness my art evolve into something personal, functional and therapeutic.

The creative & aesthetic side of home decor may be what initially led me to this field, but the real magic lies within the way that a space’s energy affects us as human beings.

Life is stressful. Many of us are living in a constant state of fight or flight and don’t even realize it. The number one thing our bodies need in order to heal is to find a state of safety amidst the chaos. That is why it is extremely important for us to feel calm and comfortable in our own homes and I pride myself on my ability to cultivate that notion for my clients.
